Carlos Jimenez Arrested in New Britain for Identity Theft and Larceny

NEW BRITAIN, CT — Carlos Jimenez, a 27-year-old man from New Britain, was arrested last week on charges of larceny in the third degree, identity theft in the second degree, criminal impersonation, and forgery in the second degree.

Jimenez was identified as a suspect in an ongoing identity theft case, leading to his arrest after a thorough investigation. The authorities obtained a warrant for his arrest after linking him to the alleged crimes. The investigation initially began in January 2025.

On the day of his arrest, officers located Jimenez operating a vehicle near 568 East St. After he parked, they took him into custody without incident. Jimenez now faces multiple charges in connection with the alleged fraudulent activities.
