A gang of four individuals, including Jupudi Usha, Thudumula Mallesh, Sagar Patil, and Anil Jamane, has been arrested for their involvement in a sophisticated car rental scam. The group allegedly deceived numerous car owners by renting vehicles under false pretenses and later pledging them to third parties.
In a major breakthrough, police recovered 21 cars—comprising SUVs and hatchbacks of various brands—worth an estimated Rs2.5 crore. The vehicles were seized during the investigation, marking a significant victory in the crackdown against the scam.
The accused are currently in custody as authorities continue to investigate the full extent of their fraudulent activities.
