A 28-year-old man from Canandaigua, Ronald L. Sennett Jr., faces multiple charges, including grand larceny and impaired driving, after allegedly stealing a dump truck and being involved in a physical altercation.
On December 9, Sennett was arrested following an investigation by the Canandaigua Police Department. Authorities report that he stole the dump truck from a local business between 9 a.m. and noon.
Later that day, officers were called to a reported altercation on South Main Street. During their investigation, they identified Sennett as one of the individuals involved in the fight and discovered he was in possession of the stolen vehicle. Police also noted signs of drug impairment, leading to a charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs (DWAI), which was enhanced due to a prior conviction.
Sennett now faces charges of second-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal possession of stolen property, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. He was processed and taken to Ontario County Jail for a centralized arraignment.
