Camryn Cagle and William Reynolds Arrested in Tractor Theft Scheme

Lawrence County, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two suspects were arrested in connection with the theft of a tractor in Lawrence County, Tennessee, following a social media tip that led to a multi-county law enforcement pursuit.

The incident began when a farmer in Lawrence County reported his tractor was stolen and posted about it on social media. An individual saw the post and alerted authorities after spotting the stolen tractor behind a house in Giles County.

Upon arriving at the home, deputies observed several people outside, along with a vehicle containing two individuals. As seen in bodycam footage, when deputies ordered the vehicle to stop, things escalated. A deputy used her baton to break the driver’s side window after the driver did not comply.

Authorities later identified the driver as 30-year-old Camryn Cagle, who has a criminal record that includes convictions for criminal simulation, theft, and failure to appear. Cagle, who reportedly goes by the name “Star” and works as an exotic dancer in Alabama, fled toward Alabama, leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase. The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office took over the pursuit and arrested Cagle after a pit maneuver.

Meanwhile, back in Giles County, deputies continued investigating the theft and arrested 34-year-old William Reynolds for the tractor theft. Reynolds, a convicted felon, was found in possession of burglary tools and cocaine, which he later admitted to having.

Sheriff John Myers called the resolution of the case “a good news story” after a $10,000 tractor was recovered. Giles County deputies are considering additional charges against Cagle, including resisting arrest, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment.
