Camryn Brown Arrested for Fatal Shooting of Timothy Haynes in North Charleston

North Charleston, S.C. (WCSC) – Authorities in North Charleston have arrested a 20-year-old man, Camryn Brown, in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday night, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Timothy Haynes.

According to police spokesperson Harve Jacobs, Brown is facing murder charges following the incident, which took place in the 4200 block of Wales Court. The shooting occurred just before midnight, and a caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing an unresponsive individual lying on the ground.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Timothy Haynes, who was being attended to by his mother performing CPR. Despite efforts to revive him, Haynes was pronounced dead at approximately 11:54 p.m. by Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal.

Brown is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center as the investigation continues.
