Cameron Jones Jailed for Fatal Crash That Killed Partner

Cameron Jones, a disqualified driver, was sentenced to prison for causing the death of his partner, Demi Mabbitt, in a high-speed crash on a wet residential road. The 30-year-old had only been out of prison for 30 days when he raced at “motorway speeds” in a car with bald tyres and dangerously tinted windows.

After crashing, instead of helping his gravely injured partner, Jones used her phone to falsely report to the police that she had been driving. He then collected his belongings from the wrecked car and fled the scene, leaving Mabbitt unconscious and alone in the rain.

The judge at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court described Jones’ actions as “inhuman” and an act of “total cowardice.” He was sentenced to prison for his reckless and selfish behavior.
