Calil Francois-Moon Arrested After Fatal Overdose Investigation in Blair County
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities in Pennsylvania have arrested 20-year-old Calil Francois-Moon of Homestead in connection to a series of fatal overdoses in Blair County.
Francois-Moon, known to be a drug dealer, was under surveillance by state police when he was apprehended Wednesday afternoon at the Tyrone Borough Burger King. Upon his arrest, he was found with multiple backpacks, a large sum of cash, and marijuana.
Following his arrest, police executed a search warrant that led to the discovery of several drugs, including 15 peach-colored pills, four pounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine, over three ounces of heroin, psychedelic mushrooms, and more than two ounces of cocaine. Authorities also seized over $1,000 in cash.
The investigation into the overdoses revealed that a 25-year-old man died in Snyder Township, and two women, ages 24 and 32, were found dead in Tyrone Borough from suspected overdoses. The victims’ identities have not been publicly disclosed, and autopsies are scheduled for Thursday.
Francois-Moon has been arraigned on multiple drug-related charges and is currently in custody. Authorities have not provided additional details about the ongoing investigation.
