In a shocking turn of events, district police have arrested two brothers, Konari Atchutha Rao and Konari Siva Krishna, in connection with the murder of 28-year-old software engineer Konari Prasad. The brothers were arrested on Friday, following a thorough investigation into Prasad’s death.
Prasad, a software engineer working in Bengaluru, had returned to his hometown of Nemalam village when his body was discovered on the road between Nemalam and Burjayvalasa on the night of February 10. The investigation revealed that Prasad had been in a romantic relationship with Atchutha Rao’s wife and frequently visited their home when in town.
On the day of the murder, Prasad had gone to visit Atchutha’s house and later met Siva Krishna. Siva lured Prasad to a remote agricultural field where the two brothers brutally beat him to death. To stage the scene as a road accident, they partially damaged Prasad’s bike and left it next to his body.
The police have now taken both brothers into custody and are continuing their investigation.
