MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A 30-year-old restaurant manager has been arrested after allegedly using a customer’s credit card fraudulently while employed at Silo Falls Restaurant in Brookeville.
The suspect, identified as Brooke Chamber of Rockville, reportedly took advantage of a customer’s mistake in July 2024. After dining at the restaurant, the victim left their credit card behind. A few days later, the victim was notified by their bank about several unauthorized charges made to their account.
Police investigations revealed that Chamber used the stolen card to pay for her ex-boyfriend’s WSSC utility bills. The victim noticed two charges totaling $1,003.38, which were traced back to Chamber.
She now faces charges of theft and credit card fraud. Montgomery County police are encouraging anyone who believes they may be a victim to come forward and report the crime.
