PATTAYA – A 31-year-old British man, identified as Jordan, was arrested in Pattaya on December 13, 2024, after being caught on CCTV snatching jewelry from two foreign tourists. Known for his muscular build and distinctive tattoos, Jordan was apprehended in Bang Saray, Sattahip, Chonburi, by police officers from Pattaya City Police, the Crime Suppression Division, and Immigration Police.
Jordan was wanted for two separate thefts targeting foreign tourists in Pattaya. The first theft occurred on December 8, 2024, when Jordan targeted an Iranian tourist in Soi Buakhao, Pattaya. CCTV footage captured the moment Jordan snatched the jewelry. Less than an hour later, he struck again, stealing a gold necklace worth over 200,000 baht from an Indian tourist near Soi Yen Sabai in the Nong Prue area, also captured on CCTV.
Surveillance footage shows Jordan riding a motorcycle with an accomplice, wearing a face mask to conceal his identity. Around 10:02 p.m., he jumped off the motorcycle, snatched the Iranian tourist’s necklace, and fled on the motorcycle, which his accomplice had parked nearby.
In the second theft, Jordan and his accomplice followed an Indian tourist named Mr. Merlin and his friend on a motorcycle, before pulling off another snatching operation near Soi Yen Sabai. The same motorcycle was linked to both incidents.
When arrested, Jordan remained silent and refused to make any statements. However, police are confident in the evidence, including his distinctive clothing worn during the thefts. Jordan has been charged with robbery at night, using a vehicle to facilitate the crime, which carries a penalty of up to 5 years in prison, a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both.
Authorities are continuing their search for Jordan’s accomplice, who is still at large.
