Bridget Nicole Compton Charged for Stealing $132,000 from Victim

PHILADELPHIA – Bridget Nicole Compton, a 51-year-old employee of Norristown State Hospital, has been charged with stealing over $130,000 from a victim while working for the Department of Public Welfare.

Compton faces several serious charges, including Access Device Fraud, Identity Theft, Forgery, and related offenses. According to authorities, Compton unlawfully diverted five checks from the victim’s account over a two-month period, accumulating a total of $132,480.01. The theft was reported in November 2024 by an interested third party, and after an investigation, Bucks County detectives linked the crime to Compton.

The victim, Trinh Nguyen, was staying at Norristown State Hospital for a mental health evaluation while awaiting sentencing for the 2022 murders of her two sons.

Compton, who surrendered to detectives, is now facing charges for her involvement in this fraudulent scheme.
