Bridgeport Teen Arrested for Stolen Vehicle and Firearm Charges

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Nineteen-year-old Michael Lozada of Bridgeport was arrested on October 17, 2024, by Westport Police in connection with a stolen vehicle and multiple firearm-related charges.

The investigation started on May 30, 2024, after a white 2024 Audi was reported stolen from a Westport driveway. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside, and the Bridgeport Auto Theft Task Force tracked and recovered it later that same day. Surveillance footage identified Lozada as the suspect in the theft.

A search warrant executed at Lozada’s residence on October 17 led to the discovery of a ghost gun and a large-capacity magazine. He was subsequently charged with Burglary 3rd, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and several firearm violations. Lozada was held on a $175,000 bond and arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on October 18, 2024.
