SEVEN LAKES, NC — Brian Borowski, 41, and Zachary McKoy, 44, both of Spring Lake, were arrested on May 21, following a break-in at a business on MacDougall Drive in Seven Lakes.
According to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, deputies were dispatched to the business at approximately 2 a.m. Upon arriving, law enforcement obtained a description of the suspect vehicle, which was soon located leaving the area. A traffic stop was conducted, during which deputies recovered thousands of dollars in stolen goods, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Borowski was arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, trafficking in amphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, possession of burglary tools, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Moore County Detention Center without bond.
McKoy was also arrested and faces charges of felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of stolen goods, trafficking in amphetamine, and felony possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $50,000.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on May 31, and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
