A Walkerville man, 45-year-old Brandon Lee Chase, has been sentenced to 90 years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The sentencing was held on Monday, and the charges stem from years of abuse Chase inflicted on the child of a woman he had dated.
Court documents revealed that Chase not only sexually abused the child but also recorded explicit videos of the abuse, which continued over a period of several years. The case was investigated by the FBI’s WEBCHEX Task Force in collaboration with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office and the Muskegon Justice for Women Task Force.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Cheyvoryea Gibson praised the efforts of law enforcement in bringing justice to the victim and holding Chase accountable for his heinous actions. “Today’s sentencing of Brandon Chase is a decisive victory in the FBI’s unyielding battle against sexual predators who prey on our most vulnerable population,” said Gibson.
Chase has a history of sexual offenses and is also awaiting sentencing for a separate criminal sexual conduct case in Shelby Village. He is a repeat sex offender with a prior conviction.
This case highlights the continued dedication of law enforcement to protect vulnerable individuals and ensure those responsible for such acts are brought to justice.
