HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Amy Myers, a woman from Bowling Green, has been arrested in Christian County on charges of identity theft after a routine traffic stop.

On Friday, the Hopkinsville Police Department stopped a vehicle with an improper license plate display. During the stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana, prompting a search of the vehicle. Authorities discovered a baggie of marijuana during the search.

Myers allegedly provided officers with her niece’s name and social security number, leading to the identity theft charge. In addition to the identity theft charge, Myers is facing three warrants for theft by unlawful taking incidents in Warren County.
