In a significant victory in the battle against illegal drug trade, Borni Shantipur Police arrested Rafik Ali, a suspected drug supplier, during a well-executed anti-drug operation. Ali’s capture followed a tip-off from vigilant citizens who alerted the police about his suspected involvement in drug trafficking.
During the arrest, police discovered 23 containers hidden in Ali’s jacket, which are believed to contain heroin powder. In addition to the drugs, the authorities recovered Rs 5,210 in cash, a mobile phone, and a luxury car with the registration number AS-01AA 2115. The vehicle has been linked to multiple reported cases of cattle theft, raising further concerns about Ali’s criminal connections.
Local residents had long suspected Ali’s involvement in illegal activities, including drug trafficking. These community concerns, along with intelligence reports, prompted the police to take swift action and launch a focused operation to apprehend the suspect.
Rafik Ali is now in police custody, where he is being interrogated to uncover further details about his drug network, supply chains, and possible connections to other criminal activities. Authorities are working to dismantle his operation and prevent future illegal activities in the region.
The Borni Shantipur Police have reassured the public that the investigation is ongoing and reiterated their commitment to combating the illegal drug trade and other criminal networks in the area.
