Booneville Woman Arrested for Drug Possession at Safety Checkpoint

PRENTISS COUNTY, MS – Kristin Rae Whitley, 34, of Booneville, was arrested on February 2, 2025, following a safety checkpoint on Highway 4 East near County Road 3371 in the Hobo Community.

The checkpoint, organized by Prentiss County deputies Ethan Hester and Jimmy Jarman, led to the discovery of a controlled substance in Whitley’s possession. She was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Whitley’s bond was set at $7,500 by Judge Craig Bishop. The case will be presented to a Prentiss County Grand Jury by North Mississippi Narcotics Unit Agent Taylor Whitaker.

The arrest highlights ongoing law enforcement efforts to deter drug-related offenses in the region, with deputies remaining vigilant in their enforcement of traffic and narcotics laws.
