Bolaji Akinduro Wanted in Major Fraud Scandal

By Harmony Olebu

In a significant move in Nigeria’s battle against financial crime, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a wanted alert for Bolaji Akinduro, the Executive Chairman of Total Grace Oil and Gas Investment Limited. This development has sparked concerns regarding the integrity of the country’s business sector.

The EFCC announced on Saturday via its official X.com account that Akinduro is being sought for allegedly obtaining money under false pretenses and for stealing by conversion. The agency’s statement included a call for the public’s assistance: “The public is hereby notified that Bolaji Henry Akinduro, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an alleged case of Obtaining Money under False Pretence and Stealing by Conversion.”

Akinduro, 51, hails from Ondo State, with his last known address listed as 272, Patience Coker Street, Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos State. The EFCC encouraged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact any of their offices across the country, including Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, and others.

This case marks another critical effort by the EFCC, which has previously taken significant legal actions against other individuals and businesses. In April 2001, the agency brought a businessman and his company, His Grace Integrated Solution Limited, to court alongside two other individuals before Justice Funmilayo Akinlade at the Lagos High Court in Ikeja.
