Blairsville Man Arrested for Meth Possession After Traffic Stop

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. (WGXA) — A Blairsville man, 44-year-old David Anthony Lowe, was arrested on Tuesday, January 21, after a traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine.

The Towns County Sheriff’s Office reported that Deputy Keanu Nguyen initiated the stop on Lowe’s vehicle on Highway 76 West. During the stop, probable cause was established, which led to a search of the vehicle.

Authorities found a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. As a result, Lowe was arrested and charged with felony possession of meth, possession/use of drug-related objects, obstruction of an officer, taillight violation, and failure to carry a driver’s license.

Lowe is currently facing several charges, and his case is under investigation.
