In a significant development, BJP councillor Udaybhan Singh (alias Lallan Singh) was arrested in connection with the murder of Samajwadi Party (SP) worker Om Prakash Singh (45) following a police encounter. The murder occurred in broad daylight on July 19 in Parsapur town.
According to Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal, a murder case was filed against Udaybhan Singh and his three sons following a complaint from Om Prakash Singh’s wife. The arrest comes after an intense investigation into the tragic killing.
The police have now launched further efforts to probe the involvement of other accused individuals in this murder case.
