In a quick response to a reported theft, the NJP police successfully recovered a stolen e-rickshaw and arrested the prime suspect, Biraj Barman, on Wednesday evening in the Paschim Dhantala area.
Abdul Aziz, the owner of the stolen vehicle, informed the NJP Police Station about the theft that occurred on Wednesday night. Prompt investigation led to the tracking of the stolen e-rickshaw, which was found hidden in the Kashmir Colony area, near Fulbari’s Murder More.
Following the police’s investigation, Biraj Barman was apprehended and presented in the Jalpaiguri court on Thursday. The timely recovery of the vehicle has brought relief to the victim and highlighted the efficiency of the NJP police in resolving property theft cases.
