Bihar police have uncovered a disturbing gang involved in a cyber fraud scheme that targeted young men by promising them a large sum of money as a ‘customer service fee’ for impregnating childless women. The fraud was exposed after three gang members were arrested in Nawada district. Authorities recovered six mobile phones, photographs of victims, audio recordings, and bank transaction documents during the raid.
The gang used Facebook to post advertisements offering up to Rs. 10 lakh for men willing to participate in a scheme that claimed to provide paid services to women seeking pregnancy. The advertisement promised financial rewards for engaging with women and appealed to many, making it seem like a lucrative and easy opportunity.
The gang, which had been operating for over a year, was tracked down in Kahuara village following a raid led by Nadarigang sub-divisional police officer, Imran Khan. Three individuals, Bhola Kumar, Rahul Kumar, and Prince Raj, were arrested during the operation.
According to police, the fraudsters posted Facebook ads offering a Rs. 10 lakh payout for joining the ‘All India Pregnant Job Service.’ Victims who showed interest were asked to provide personal details, including PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, and selfies, under the guise of registration and hotel bookings. They were then coerced into paying money for the false services, even when the promised scheme failed. The gang also promised compensation ranging from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 5 lakh for victims who were not successful in the scheme.
