Bihar Man Arrested for ₹17.69 Lakh E-Commerce Call Centre Scam

Heni District Police have arrested Rahul Kumar, 34, from Bihar, the owner of three fake call centres in Delhi, which duped a man from Theni district out of Rs17.69 lakh by promising him a high-value prize from an e-commerce firm.

According to a statement from Theni Superintendent of Police R. Shiva Prasad, the complainant, who had purchased a mobile phone cover through a popular e-commerce platform, received a call from someone posing as a representative of the company’s prize department.
