Authorities arrested Biao Lin, a 27-year-old Chinese citizen residing in Brooklyn, NY, who allegedly traveled across the U.S. to collect the gold as part of a $3 million fraud scheme.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Scott Kerin, Lin was charged with federal fraud offenses in connection with this elaborate conspiracy.
