Benjamin Spanbauer Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charges in N.D.

MORTON COUNTY, N.D. – A Minnesota man facing multiple drug-related felonies pleaded not guilty in Morton County, while his co-defendant failed to appear in court.

Court Proceedings
Benjamin Spanbauer, 41, appeared in court Monday and entered a not-guilty plea to three felony charges, including possession of cocaine and marijuana. His co-defendant, Nicholas Bluhm, 33, did not attend the hearing.

Traffic Stop & Arrest
Spanbauer and Bluhm were arrested in January after North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers stopped their vehicle. During the search, officers uncovered:

79 crack cocaine pipes concealed inside cigarette packs
A substantial quantity of marijuana
Prior Offenses & Investigation
Authorities noted that Spanbauer has a previous record of drug trafficking. The case remains under investigation, with further legal proceedings expected.
