Bengaluru Police arrested two individuals, including the elder son of a 49-year-old woman, in connection with her murder. Jayamma’s body was discovered by a friend of her younger son, who had come to deliver groceries.
The arrested suspects, Umesh, 33, Jayamma’s son, and her relative Suresh, 43, were detained on Tuesday. According to the police, the crime occurred on November 8, when Umesh killed his mother due to a financial dispute. Jayamma was brutally attacked—her head was smashed against a wall, and she was then smothered and strangled.
The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder.
