Belzoni Police Officer Arrested for DUI in Yazoo City

YAZOO CITY, MS – A Belzoni Police Officer, James Jackson, was arrested after being found passed out in his patrol car with a meth pipe in hand.

According to Yazoo City Police Chief Terry Gann, officers discovered Jackson in this condition, along with marijuana found in the vehicle’s glove box. Jackson refused to take a sobriety test and has since been charged with possession of paraphernalia and DUI refusal.

He has been released on bond. Authorities have not provided any additional information at this time, but the Vicksburg Daily News will update the story as more details become available.
