Belfast Residents Alexander Wilson and Brittany Saucier Arrested in Drug Trafficking Bust

BELFAST, Maine (WABI) — Two people were arrested in Belfast following a traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon, as part of a larger investigation into drug trafficking in Maine and New Hampshire.

Belfast Police and DEA agents arrested 38-year-old Alexander Wilson and 25-year-old Brittany Saucier, both of Belfast. The arrests were made as part of a federal, state, and local investigation into the trafficking of fentanyl and meth in the two states.

Wilson faces multiple charges, including federal conspiracy to commit drug trafficking and possession of scheduled drugs. He was transported by federal agents to New Hampshire, where he is being held until his arraignment.

Saucier was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and violation of bail conditions. She was released on cash bail and is set to appear in Waldo Superior Court for her arraignment.

The investigation into this drug trafficking ring remains ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Belfast Police Department.
