BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Jamie Bethley, a man accused of committing several robberies in Baton Rouge, has been arrested and charged. Police arrested Bethley in connection with an attempted first-degree robbery at a Family Dollar store on Plank Road and a robbery on Drusilla Lane.
Bethley is facing multiple charges, including attempted first-degree robbery, simple robbery, and simple assault. According to authorities, this isn’t his first run-in with the law. Bethley has been arrested 12 times in the past for a range of offenses such as theft, burglaries, resisting an officer, possession of a stolen firearm, second-degree battery, and carnal knowledge of a juvenile, in addition to drug charges.
He is currently booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
