Baramulla Police Arrest Manzoor Ahmad Mir in Major Drug Bust

In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Baramulla Police successfully apprehended a suspected drug peddler, seizing a large quantity of contraband in the Boniyar area.

On the night of April 7-8, 2025, a police team deployed in Bernate Bala, Boniyar, intercepted a suspicious individual, later identified as Manzoor Ahmad Mir, son of Late Hafiz-Ullah Mir from Bernate, Boniyar. Upon conducting a search, authorities discovered 1.216 kilograms of a substance suspected to be brown sugar, along with a digital weighing scale. Following the seizure, Mir was promptly arrested.

A case under FIR No. 25/2025 has been filed at the Boniyar Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing to identify other individuals connected to the drug network and trace the origin of the contraband.
