Austin, Texas – Two suspects were arrested in Northwest Austin for stealing over $1,000 worth of merchandise from several department stores. The incident occurred on November 22 at The Shops at Arbor Walk, where loss prevention officers at Marshall’s observed two individuals, Omar Cuellar Sanchez, 43, and Dailena Rodriguez Herrera, 27, removing anti-theft devices and hiding stolen items like sneakers and wallets in their clothing.
Austin Police Department (APD) officers quickly responded, apprehending the pair after they exited the store with the stolen goods. A subsequent search of their car revealed additional stolen items, including merchandise from Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, and Ross. The stolen items found in their car were valued at $548.79, bringing the total of all stolen goods to around $1,000. Both suspects were arrested on theft charges.
