Ashland Man Charged with Murder After Fatal Shooting at Bluegrass Inn

ASHLAND, Ky. – An Ashland man has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting early Wednesday morning at the Bluegrass Inn on Winchester Avenue.

Ashland Police responded to the scene around 3 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a man in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. The victim was flown to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.

Christopher Hammond, 33, has been arrested and charged with murder. Investigators say that the shooting followed a verbal altercation between Hammond and the victim.
