The police attempted to intercept the suspect at the Banderdewa check gate, but the individual, later identified as Babul Islam (38) , a resident of Bihupuria in **LakhimLakhimpur district, Assam, managed to evade the checkpoint. Despite the escape, the police team did not give up and continued their pursuit.
