Arturo Gonzalez Jr. Arrested for Father’s Murder in Monrovia

LOS ANGELES – A 29-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of murdering his father, authorities confirmed Wednesday. Arturo Gonzalez Jr., from Monrovia, was arrested in connection with the fatal attack that occurred on February 22.

The incident took place at the victim’s apartment, located in the 100 block of West Olive Avenue near South Myrtle Avenue in Monrovia. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department launched a homicide investigation, which led detectives to identify Gonzalez as the suspect.

Despite his arrest, authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the murder or provided additional details about the crime.
