Today, several individuals were arrested by police in Guwahati for their involvement in criminal activities ranging from theft to drug trafficking.
Sahidul Islam was arrested by Dispur police after they searched a dump yard he owned at ABC, recovering stolen items such as bell metal bowls, brass glasses, aluminum saucepans, pressure cookers, copper wire, and gas stoves.
In the Behabari area, Basistha Police apprehended Sukur Ali for stealing iron rods. The police recovered 25 kg of iron from his possession.
Additionally, Basistha Police raided a hideout in Saokuchi and arrested Ashidur Islam (28) and Saran Roy for possession of 6.937 kg of ganja.
Finally, in Kumarpara, Bharalumukh Police arrested Ibrahim Ali and Kuran Ali, two drug peddlers from Barpeta, seizing 14 vials of heroin weighing 19.1 grams from them.
