Armando Lopez Arrested After High-Speed Chase in Fresno County

Fresno County, CA — Armando Lopez, 44, was arrested on Friday after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in Fresno County.

According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call around 2:45 a.m. about a suspect firing rounds from an SUV along East Redondo Avenue in Del Rey. When deputies arrived, Lopez sped away, initiating a pursuit that reached speeds of 90 miles per hour.

The chase ended when Lopez crashed into an orchard. He attempted to flee on foot, but deputies quickly apprehended him and took him into custody.

Lopez, a convicted felon, was arrested and is facing charges related to the shooting and the high-speed chase.
