Arizona Man Arrested with Cocaine During Traffic Stop

A 31-year-old man has been arrested after authorities found two large packages containing about 2 kilograms of cocaine during a traffic stop in Fort Mohave, Arizona. Gustavo Gutierrez was apprehended on Friday, March 28, near U.S. 95 and Aztec Road.

Officers from the Bullhead City Police Department’s MAGNET (Mohave Area General Narcotic Enforcement Team) made the arrest after conducting the traffic stop. The Lake Havasu City Police K-9 unit, with K-9 Echo, assisted in detecting the narcotics inside the vehicle.

The two brick-sized packages were estimated to contain about 4.5 pounds of cocaine, with a street value of approximately $84,000. Gutierrez is facing charges of possession and transportation of narcotics for sale.

He is currently being held in custody at the Mohave County Jail in Kingman, Arizona. The arrest took place in Fort Mohave, which lies about 109 miles south of Las Vegas, along the Arizona side of the Colorado River.
