Anwar Kurd and Keyvan Niknam Arrested by Iranian Forces

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, two Kurdish men, Anwar Kurd and Keyvan Niknam, were arrested by Iranian security forces under unclear circumstances. Their current locations remain unknown.

Anwar Kurd, a 27-year-old from Hisar Balaghi village in Bukan, was detained by authorities and taken to an undisclosed location. At the same time, Keyvan Niknam, a resident of Mahabad, was arrested after security forces raided his home. He was also transferred to an unknown facility.

Reports indicate that the arrests occurred without the presentation of official arrest warrants, and as of now, no information has been released regarding the reasons for their detentions or the specific charges they may face.

The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has raised concerns about the lack of transparency surrounding the case.
