Antonio Ferguson Charged in Fatal Shooting at SC Dragstrip

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Antonio Ferguson, 32, of Allendale, appeared in court on Saturday for his first hearing in connection with a fatal shooting at the South Carolina Motorplex Dragstrip. He is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The shooting occurred just before 6 p.m. on the day of the incident, with 40-year-old Reggie Dantzler of Orangeburg being killed. Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a dispute, which also left two others wounded.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell condemned the senseless violence, calling the event another tragic outcome of an argument. Ferguson was denied bond by the judge, and his next court appearance is scheduled for mid-February 2025.
