Anthony Walker, 61, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for his abuse of five young girls between 1998 and 2007. After initially evading justice, he was charged in 2020 and later extradited from Bulgaria.

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) reported that Walker, from Falkirk, engaged in indecent practices with all five victims during the abuse.

During sentencing, Judge Susan Craig noted that Walker had denied the allegations when they were first reported, leading to no immediate charges. Even at trial, he maintained his innocence despite overwhelming evidence against him.

Judge Craig remarked, “The victim impact statements clearly demonstrate that your abuse has blighted the lives of your victims, and yet you show no remorse or recognition of the seriousness of your crimes.” She emphasized that the court would impose a substantial custodial sentence, as highlighted in the criminal justice social work report.
