Albany, NY – Angel Infante, a 27-year-old woman from Albany, has been arrested following a stabbing incident that occurred Monday morning on Columbia Street. Police responded to a residence near Lodge Street around 11:55 AM after reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 34-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his chest and abdomen. Emergency medical personnel treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities determined that the injury was sustained during a domestic dispute inside the home. Infante, who was present when officers arrived, was promptly taken into custody.
She now faces multiple charges, including one count of Assault, two counts of Criminal Contempt, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Infante was arraigned at Albany City Criminal Court and is currently being held at Albany County Jail with bail set at $10,000.
