Angamaly Police Arrest Rumesh in Rs2 Crore MDMA Seizure Case

Rumesh, 31, from Trichy, Tamil Nadu, was arrested by Angamaly police in connection with the seizure of approximately 2 kg of MDMA, valued at around Rs2 crore. The case dates back to August 2021, when police, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a pickup vehicle from Thrissur involved in smuggling the drugs into the area. Rumesh is accused of being one of the key figures behind the operation, and further investigations are underway to track other suspects and the drug’s intended distribution.
