Lorain, Ohio (WOIO) – A drug trafficking investigation led to the arrest of Andrew Washington, 40, and Crystal Higgins, 38, on Friday after police executed a search warrant at a residence on Riverside Drive.
According to a statement from the Lorain Police Narcotics Unit, officers seized:
850 grams of cocaine
55 grams of fentanyl
Additional drug paraphernalia
Washington faces multiple felony drug charges, including possession and trafficking of cocaine and fentanyl.
Higgins, who was also found at the residence, had an active warrant from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities credited the success of the operation to citizen assistance and emphasized their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes in the area.
