Andrew Furman Arrested for Burglary in Utica, NY

UTICA, N.Y. — A 51-year-old man from Ilion, Andrew Furman, was arrested early Thursday morning following a burglary in Utica. Police responded to a burglary-in-progress call at 6:30 a.m. on Genesee Street, where they met with the victim who reported stolen items from their property.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage and began checking the area. Just a few blocks away, they found a man matching the suspect’s description. Upon stopping him, officers discovered he was pushing a shopping cart filled with the stolen items.

Furman was charged with burglary and petit larceny in connection with the theft.
