Andrea Martin Faces Multiple Charges in NH Woman’s Death

A New Hampshire woman is facing a range of charges, including kidnapping, human trafficking, and involvement in the death of another woman, following an investigation by the New Hampshire State Police.

Andrea Martin, 42, is accused of dispensing the opioids that led to the death of 31-year-old Justina Steffy in October 2024. Steffy died after being injected with the drugs at a residence in Keene, and her death has been ruled a homicide.

Authorities say Martin attempted to dispose of Steffy’s body, which was later found in Warwick, Massachusetts. Additionally, Martin faces charges of kidnapping after allegedly holding Steffy against her will for several days before her death.

The investigation uncovered that Martin and another suspect, Christian Torruellas, 32, had previously kidnapped and held another woman for over two weeks in the fall of 2024. The pair are also facing a human trafficking charge for allegedly coercing a third woman into forced labor under the threat of violence.

Both Martin and Torruellas are in custody. Martin is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, human trafficking, dispensing drugs that resulted in death, and falsifying physical evidence. Torruellas is awaiting his arraignment, as he is currently incarcerated on other federal charges.
