Amudha M Arrested for Deepavali Chit Fund Fraud in Chennai

The Chit Fund and Kandhu Vatti Investigation wing of the Central Crime Branch has apprehended a 49-year-old woman, identified as Amudha M, from Triplicane, Chennai. She had been evading authorities for four years after allegedly defrauding numerous individuals under the pretext of a Deepavali chit fund scheme.

The arrest followed a complaint by B. Saranya, who claimed that Amudha had collected Rs54 lakh from various persons through three intermediaries, all under the guise of a Deepavali chit fund and gift voucher scheme conducted at her residence in Triplicane.
