Amritsar Police Arrest Two with 500 gm Heroin and Rs80,000 Drug Money

The Amritsar rural police have arrested two individuals, Sukhchain Singh alias Kala and Gurpreet Singh alias Sonu, from Jhanjhoti village in Rajasansi, after seizing over 500 grams of heroin and Rs80,000 in drug money from their possession.

The arrests occurred when the two suspects were intercepted while traveling in a car by a police party. In addition to the drugs and cash, three mobile phones were also seized from the accused.

A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and authorities have launched an investigation to trace the source of the heroin. The police are working to uncover the suspects’ network, and further arrests and seizures are expected as the investigation progresses.
