Amritsar Police Arrest Drug Peddler Shagandeep Singh with 1kg Heroin

Acting on a tip-off, Amritsar rural police arrested a drug peddler, Shagandeep Singh, alias Shagan, from Naushehra village in the Tarn Taran district. The police seized 1 kg of heroin from him, which he was transporting for delivery.

Singh was arrested in the Rajatal area as he was riding his bike (PB-46-AM-1655) while carrying the drug consignment. His bike was also impounded as part of the investigation.

A thorough probe is currently underway to trace both his suppliers and customers, with further investigation focused on his backward and forward links in the drug trade. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Singh.
