Amirtharaj, Kalaivani, 4 Others Arrested for P. Elangovan’s Murder

In a breakthrough investigation, six individuals, including a couple, have been arrested for the murder of P. Elangovan, a resident of Vagarayampalayam near Karumathampatti in Coimbatore district. The crime, which occurred on November 15, has seen the arrest of Amirtharaj (46) and his wife Kalaivani (35), both from Vagarayampalayam, on Monday.

In a follow-up operation, Micheal Pushparaj, Veerasamy, Arockiasamy, and a 17-year-old boy from Dindigul district were apprehended on Tuesday. Pushparaj and Arockiasamy, while trying to evade arrest, fell from a two-wheeler, resulting in fractured legs. The authorities have been actively investigating the case, and the arrests mark a significant development in the ongoing inquiry.
