Amirian Jones, 3 Others Arrested in Olive Branch Carjacking

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. – Four people have been arrested following an armed carjacking that took place Thursday, June 19, in Olive Branch.

The Olive Branch Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 3:08 p.m. on Chateau Drive. Officers quickly located the stolen vehicle and a lone suspect near Hacks Cross Road and Nichols Boulevard. The suspect fled on foot but was later found hiding in a commercial dumpster near Old Goodman Road and Highway 302. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Further investigation led to the identification and arrest of three additional suspects involved in the incident.

The following individuals were charged with Armed Carjacking:

Amirian Jones, 17, Dupree Drive, Olive Branch

Martavious Mitchell, 17, Chateau Drive, Olive Branch

Mario Northern, 18, Chateau Drive, Olive Branch

In a surprising development, the person initially reported as the victim—Deunte Green, 18, of Carrie Brook Drive—was also arrested. Authorities charged him with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute.

The Olive Branch Police Department acknowledged the support of the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, which helped apprehend one of the suspects.

The investigation remains ongoing.
